Announcing Winners, Daikin Designer Award 2022 Generates Residential Inspiration with High Aesthetic Quality Air Conditioning

The implementation of the annual competition for residential design with quality air conditioning and aesthetic aspects, Daikin Designer Award 2022, culminated by announcing all the winners in Jakarta today, October 28, 2022. A total of ten winners from three main categories were selected from more than 300 works that entered throughout the event that began on May 14.
"The high number of participants in this special field competition represents the success of Daikin efforts in promoting the importance of quality air conditioning in a modern residence, accompanying attention to its aesthetic elements," said Ching Khim Huat, President Director of PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia. On the other hand, according to him, this is also a signal about the increasing publics attention to the creation of better air quality in the design and construction of their residences.
As an annual agenda of PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia, the existence of the Daikin Designer Award is part of the companys efforts to promote air conditioning design that considers the air quality in the residence which also pays attention to aesthetic factors. This can be achieved through the use of Home Central AC air conditioning solution which is Daikin centralized air conditioning technology.
In this years event which takes the theme of Technology For Your Imagination, in addition to the category of housing that has been completed, this competition also opens the design category which is still in the form of conceptual design. "This is in accordance with the spirit that Daikin brings in this event. In addition to appreciating the finished work, the conceptual design competition is an effort to promote support for residences with quality air conditioning that still prioritizes aesthetics," said Ching Khim Huat again.
In line with the efforts to promote air conditioning solutions for this residence, accompanied by the support of the Indonesian Architects Association (IAI) DKI Jakarta and the Indonesian Interior Designers Association (HDII) DKI Jakarta, the implementation also collaborated with Bumi Parama Wisesa and Magran Living.
Related to the winner of the 2022 Daikin Designer Award, in the applied category of completed residences, Cowema Studio with a two-story residence in a modern classic style that is thick with colonial-style architectural nuances and puts forward natural lighting as the main winner.
Supporting the overall air system in providing comfort for its residents, this architectural service company with 8 years of experience applies the Daikin Super Multi NX AC system with 4 outdoor units connected to 5 units of Indoor Ceiling Mounted Duct with grill and 4 indoor wall mounted units.
On the other hand, sitting in second and third place in this category, each Pranala Associaties that prioritizes lighting elements and Studiork Design with a minimalist modern style residential design.
From the conceptual architecture category, PT Sysu Desain Arsitektura was promoted as the main winner after successfully attracting the attention of the jury with a work that combines elements of geometry and sustainability in its design.
Supporting the quality of the air system in this design residence, PT. Architectural Design Sysu uses Daikin VRV Home Series products. Among the applications in rooms that use Ceilling 3D Moisture Control Intellegent. This choice was made considering the hidden shape of the AC as if it were one with the wall and the ability to control the humidity level.

Meanwhile AER Design Studio based in Surabaya became the second winner in this category. In the conceptual category for interior designers, Anima Interior became the main winner with the concept of comfortable space design with timeless neutral color choices. To support comfort while maintaining the beauty of the overall space design, VRV Home series with Indoor Ceiliing Mounted Duct which is applied with box trox is an option.
This application allows the supply of cool air to the room while maintaining the beauty of the design because the air duct that appears only in the form of a black line with a width of 4 cm that blends with the overall design elements. On the other hand, the placement of the Indoor Ceiling Mounted Duct unit for the living room, dining room and pantry looks disguised with the impression of a ceiling design designed with a checkered motif to disguise the air duct point.
Lifetime Design managed to become the second winner by bringing a classic modern feel to the overall design which also gives more interaction opportunities for each family member to be active and grow together. Especially for both conceptual categories, a special award in the form of Kimberlys Choice is also given. As the name suggests, this award is given to the work chosen by the Indonesian celebrity, Kimberly Ryder, who also sits on the jury in the 2022 Daikin Designer Award. For the conceptual architecture category, ConArch Studio became the winner. Meanwhile, the interior designer conceptual category won by Anima Interior.
In addition to prizes with a total of hundreds of millions of rupiah, the works of the winners will also be published in various media that are partners in the implementation of this activity. "Being part of our appreciation as well as promoting to the architectural community, interior designers and the wider community about the image of a residence that pays attention to the comfortable air system and looks elegant," concluded Ching Khim Huat.
