JAKARTA (Daikin) – Daikin Proshop held the Daikin Designer Awards Competition in commemoration of Daikin Indonesia 50th Anniversary. This event is a form of appreciation for the talented architects and interior designers of the country, especially for their contributions and collaboration with Daikin Proshop Indonesia by applying Daikin Home Central AC as an air conditioning solution chosen for residential applications.

The Daikin Designer Awards Competition is organized by Daikin Proshop in collaboration with the Indonesian Interior Designers Association (HDII) DKI Jakarta and the Indonesian Architects Association (IAI) Jakarta. Cosmas D. Gozali (IAI Jakarta) and Alex Bayusaputro (HDII Jakarta), both well-known figures in Indonesian architecture and professionals in their fields, were the judges for this event.

The Daikin Designer Awards Competition ran from September 30, 2020, to October 30, 2020. A total of 116 designers submitted their designs and registration files. From all applicants, the first judging session selected 22 participants who met the requirements to proceed to the next judging stage.

Daikin Proshop Indonesia also invited the public to participate by choosing their favorite design from the 22 selected works, which were shared via the official Instagram account @daikinproshopindonesia.

The judging session for the 22 selected works was held live online on November 14 & 21, 2020. The event was broadcasted on Daikin Proshop Indonesia official YouTube channel.

The highlight of the event, as well as the announcement of the winners, took place at the Ritz Carlton Hotel Jakarta on November 27, 2020. The winners were:

1. First Winner: Atelier Riri (Jakarta) with their work "AL House Tangerang"

2. Second Place: Team of Three Architects (Solo) with their work "Ayom Java Village Solo"

3. Third Winner and 2nd Favorite Winner: H Design (Jakarta) with their work "Nava Residence Tangerang"

4. Favorite Champion 1: Mozaic Architects (Jakarta) with their work "Lamp House Jakarta"

5. Instagram Likes Champion: DHI (PT. Indonesian Residence Decoration) with their work "Navapark Residence Tangerang"

The implementation of the Daikin Designer Awards Competition is a point of pride for Daikin Proshop Indonesia, especially as it coincides with the 50th anniversary of Daikin Indonesia.

Through the Daikin Designer Awards Competition, Daikin Proshop Indonesia hopes to contribute to the progress of the construction industry, particularly in residential buildings, and inspire young designers to continue improving their design creativity. This event is also expected to inspire works that consider utility aspects, including the creation of high-quality air conditioning systems in homes to ensure the comfort and health of residents.
